Monster Spawner

Monster Spawners are blocks that generate mobs when a player is close to them and the light level is lower than 7. Monster spawners spawn either Spiders, Skeletons, Zombies or Cave Spiders. The monster a spawner generates can be determined by the miniature monster spinning round inside the spawner block. The spinning speed indicates the time until the next spawn: no rotation being no spawn (when the players is further than 16 blocks away), very fast rotation meaning imminent spawn. If 6 or more monsters of its type are present in a 17 x 17 x 9 radius, the monster spawners will not spawn any more monsters. A spawner can be disabled by surrounding it with torches or by destroying it (does not drop anything). | ||||||||||
