Water (Stationary)
|
Water appears all around the Minecraft world in pools and ocean. Water blocks cannot be placed (a water bucket is needed for that). Water blocks exist in 2 forms: stationary (this block) and flowing. If water is placed in the Nether, it will immediately evaporate. Water will flow horizontally for a distance of 7 tiles. This counter resets when water drops a level. An infinite water spring can be created by putting 2 water buckets in the opposite corners of a 2 x 2 pit. Filling in a pool (or even an ocean if you have the patience) is best done with sand or gravel, since these blocks will fall down a liquid, thus filling the whole column of water and not just the top layer. | ||||||||||
